Les Paul’s Legacy

On November 15th in Cleveland at the PlayhouseSquare State Theater, a sold out tribute concert saluted Les Paul in celebration of his legacy.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum’s American Music Masters series annually celebrates an artist whose career has had a significant influence on rock and roll.

This year honoree was Les Paul, a name that will forever be connected to the electric guitar.

The sold out concert included Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees James Burton, Duane Eddy, Billy Gibbons and the Ventures, Jennifer Batten, Jeff “Skunk” Baxter, Eric Carmen, Dennis Coffey, Lenny Kaye, Steve Lukather, Barbara Lynn, Lonnie Mack, Katy Moffatt, Alannah Myles, Richie Sambora and Slash. 



Terry Stewart, president and CEO of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum presented Paul with the 2008 American Music Master award. Then, Les and his trio performed and everyone came out for an all-star jam session salute to Les in celebration of his legacy.
